One thing after another.

One thing after another.
I went outside and started my Lude this morning to warm her up. I was going to take advantage of this unusually warm Feb day and go for a nice long cruise. I ran back inside to pour my coffee, and when I came back out I noticed a huge puddle of oil! I looked underneath and I saw oil PISSING out! It was leaking from the middle in the back of the motor onto the flex pipe.
Guess I'm not going anywhere, I thought to myself. I jacked it up and started it quick to see exactly where the oil was coming from. As I suspected, oil was pouring out of the oil cooler housing- or oil filter housing. There is an o-ring that seals the housing to the block. I have seen these go bad on Hondas before. I took it of and it was old and brittle and cracks very easily. I called the local parts stores and they all said the same thing...I's not available to them, they show a listing, but they can't get it. Gonna have to go to the dealer on Monday.

Good thing I started it up first and noticed it leaking when I came out! Otherwise I would have been screwed. The way it was leaking would of probably been like a quart every 1/2 mile. Five miles down the road my motor would be toast! Right after I just had the head off of it and had head gasket and complete valve job done.
It's just one thing after another with this car. I can't catch a break! I guess it should be expected with a car with over 220k on it. The oil cooler housing o-ring was still the original one from when the car was new 14 years ago.
