Noise Question
I have a noise coming from what sounds like the location is rear of the car in the middle of the back axle, the only way I can describe the sound is that if you imagine two gears spinning and the teeth of the gears just close enough to touch but not catch. I THINK the TSB for "Buzzing From the Engine or Transmission While Decelerating" is the culprit. However, the only time I can recreate the noise is when I'm usually in 3rd gear, sometimes 2nd, and I just press the throttle ever so lightly. I mean easily a half an inch or less pressed in. Has anyone else diagnosed this same noise?

No local S2K's for me to compare it to and find out if it is a regular noise, and I've never rode or driven in any other S2K except my own. I bought it two weeks ago and did not notice it until yesterday.

It's an '02 with 37,xxx miles.

I purchased the car about two weeks ago and haven't changed any of the fluids myself. It was certified last at about 11,xxx. I haven't aggressively launched the car myself as I'm still learning to drive stick and I bought it from an older man who looked as though he never took the car over 80-90.

I'm also the fourth owner, the first owned the car for less than 5,000 miles, the second had it for about 6,000 miles and the third (the old man) for about 20,000 miles. The first two had it within one year of eachother back in '02 and '03

Here's to hoping my rear diff isn't going out?

Thanks!
