H23a1 rebuild
Im measuring my cylinder bores for wear. I use a telescoping T bore measering micrometer. Then measure the length of the T bore micrometer with a digital caliper micrometer. My bore size from 1 to 4 are BBBB. So 87.000-87.010 is standard new. Im coming up with Cylinder 1 being 86.99. I measured a couple more times and get the same 86.99? Cylinder 4 is 87.00. Now my engine has 230,000 miles on it. Im thinking it would have a bit more wear than this. I know there FRM sleeves. But with that many miles I thought it would have worn more. Does anyone have any expierence with this? Im going to most likely take to a shop to have the cylinder walls honed so my new rings will seat well. Thanks in advance.
